Jang Ju-won (born October 5, 1937) is a master of jade craftsmanship, renowned for laying the foundation for the revival of Korea's traditional jade crafts. His contributions have not only solidified his reputation in Korea but also earned him international acclaim.

Biography
Began his journey in jade craftsmanship.
Awarded the Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Energy Award at the 1988 Seoul Olympics National Craft Competition.
Participated in the Dong-A Ilbo Invitational Exhibition and held a Solo Exhibition at the Baekak Museum of Art.
Honored with the Korean Society Education Culture Award by the World Association of University Presidents.
Featured in an invitational exhibition at Seon Gallery, Seoul.
Won the Seongok Cultural Award Art Grand Prize (Seongok Cultural Foundation).
Received the Mokpo Citizen Costume Award.
Designated as the 100th National Important Cultural Property (Ministry of Culture and Sports).
Elected as Chairman of the Korean Association of Important Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Served as Director of the (former) Korean Traditional Culture School and Chairman of the Korea 25th Traditional Craft Competition Steering Committee.
Held invitation exhibitions at New York Long Island University (Hillwood Art Museum) and Texas Austin University Museum.
Awarded the Republic of Korea Hwagwan Cultural Medal (Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs). Donated 15 jade craft works to Kyonggi University Museum Jade Craft Room and 10 jade crafts to Mokpo City Intangible Cultural Heritage Center.
Participated in the French Craft Fair Exhibition (3 times).
Held an invitation exhibition at the UK Korean Cultural Center and a solo exhibition at Gwangju Museum of Art in December.
Generously donated 50 jade crafts to Gwangju Museum of Art.
Named Honorary Citizen of Gwangju City.
Exhibited at the World Expo in Paris, France.
Received the Korea-China Cultural Exchange Grand Prize Award at the China Gem Stone Association Jade Dragon Mountain Flat Line Competition.
Presented his works in Japan and held his 80th Retrospective Exhibition at Seoul Arts Center.
